elementary FRESH is an exciting new magazine geared towards Portland families with elementary-aged children.  This bi-monthly magazine produced throughout the school year will include fun articles, great recipes and activities all focused on making families’ lives healthier and happier.  Articles will include information and quotes from local nutrition experts as well as the latest research from reputable sources around the world.  Each article will be vetted by our expert KitchenCabinet to make sure it contains the best information available.

elementary FRESH will be distributed to every student at each school in KitchenFable’s Fresh Network and go straight home with them – parents will have free, relevant, fun information delivered in their children’s backpacks!

The FRESH Network is KitchenFable’s network of Portland-area schools who have made healthy families a priority and have committed to:

  • receiving a large grant from KitchenFable and its partners to use towards health and fitness in their school
  • providing KitchenFable with any school information it wants shared in its custom edition of elementaryFRESH
  • distributing elementaryFRESH to every student every issue so the magazine can go home to families who want to be healthy!
